I kind of updated a week ago but I feel like I'm way further behind than that! Hm. Guess we'll see what I come up with here.
A week ago was the first time I got to hang out with D since the beginning of the year. We went to the final Shocker home game at Koch Arena. Yay for extending Christmas into February! :) There was a little time to kill between when I got off work and when the game started so we checked out some place that resembled an old record store in search of vinyl. Found some vinyl, but nothing worth taking home. Anyway. The Shockers have had a less-than-impressive record at home but came to play on senior night. It was the best kind of game to attend. It wasn't a blowout, and it wasn't perfect. It came down to the wire, it was a sold out crowd, and they WON! Good times. And I miss hanging out with that PF.
On Friday night I went to hang out with Audra. We made plans a couple weeks ago to hang out and make banana bread. She needs "domestic" lessons, because she's got a man to feed. :P Laila was there for a while and Myra came over too. I haven't seen her in at least a couple of months. We had fun catching up. Love those girls!
I saw Bri for the first time in WEEKS on Monday. She's working on Tour 3 now, and we don't have a lot of overlapping time anymore. We texted back and forth a few times but it was good to actually see her in person. Funny, because I was thinking just days before that I miss her and Roger both. We're gonna have to set up a lunch date ASAP! Margarita's is calling our name!
Last month I e-mailed the Tumblr Buddies moderator to see if she could email my buddy and get her cellphone number. I planned to send her flowers for her birthday, but every company I looked at needed a number to call in case she wasn't home or whatever. I told her I'd probably text her to let her know the next time I sent a package. That way it doesn't end up sitting in the mailbox she only checks every once in a while. But maybe not. On Monday something absolutely crazy happened on The Bachelor and my buddy is a big fan of the show. So I decided to text her to make sure NOT to miss it. She hadn't seen it yet because of the time difference but she ended up texting me back when she saw what I flipped out about. We got to talking about other things. The only reason we stopped chit-chat/gossiping is because I had to get to bed. It was so much fun! We're kinda friends now. :) I need to start looking around for stuff to put in the next package I'll send. Something that doesn't involve food/candy in any form.
Bah. This week has been dragging along and I don't know why.
My parents are headed to Vegas on vacation next week and I'm super jealous of all the crap they're planning to do. I don't even know what they've settled on yet but the options are almost endless. I'm responsible for dropping them off and picking them up from the airport. I'm a little bit excited that I have access to their vehicles all week. I shall be driving that bigass truck and my mom's new jeep. :P
Err...I'm dying to go back to Paint the Towne! It was so much fun.
What else? On my way home from work a couple days ago I saw the Christ the King church putting up their signs for Quilt Bingo. Pretty sure that event is this Sunday. It's a fundraiser that they do maybe twice a year. Shoot, they might only do it once a year. I swear, there's a traffic jam to get into that place during Quilt Bingo. Apparently it's a big deal, and always packed. I want to go!
