Let's cut to the chase here. That boy I was giddy about? I'm not entirely sure was possessed me to check back through some of his facebook history, but I'm glad that I did.
He has a girlfriend.
He's had a girlfriend for a couple of months now. She was here visiting just before Thanksgiving. He started talking/flirting with me, right about then. And it wasn't in a way that was just for fun, mind you.
Up until about 4-5 months ago, he was married.
He's a heavy smoker.
When I uncovered this stuff, I was kind of in shock. Felt a little used and dirty. Like seriously, how do people cheat on a significant other? I feel sick, and I didn't even do anything wrong. I felt a little hurt, and a little angry and more than a little foolish.
A few weeks ago I was bummed that he accepted a job and is moving away. The weather is so awesome this week, he's packed up early and is hitting the road today. Peace out, loser!
