I think the elephant skin my Hogwarts letter was written on must have been very heavy and made the owl very tired. Of course it was not written on an entire elephant but the skin was very thick.
I am glad, though, that they cured the elephant skin before sending it to me. I would hate to have to discard it; I think it shall make a nice cloak. Perhaps no one will steal it if I dye it pink.
I am worried about using this interweb. The Quibbler has heard many stories of people who have had their identities stolen. Perhaps this is a muggle term I have not heard correctly but it frightens me. As far as I can tell it must be the muggle equivalent of Imperius. Of course I doubt Dumbledore would put us in any deliberate danger, but I must wonder whether or not he knows about this.
