So, today was the final day of my 101 goals to complete in 1001 days.
I didn't quite finish all 101. I managed to get through 79 of them. For the full list,

Here's a breakdown of the ones that I didn't finish, and my thoughts on why:
5. Brush up on French & Italian
- I did do a bit of this... but not enough to become fluent in either language, so I didn't think it was appropriate to cross this one off
6. Begin learning a new language
- I bought a learn to speak Spanish book, and subscribed to a few different newsletters, and even spoke to a few of my Spanish-speaking friends over MSN in Spanish - but I never really spoke it aloud, so it's not quite done.
8. Take a photography course
9. Learn a new instrument (guitar or bass)
- Not gonna lie, on those two, I just didn't have the time and money to invest.
13. Learn flash well enough to make a full website/cool project using it
- I'm still planning on doing this. Even though I really hate websites that are solely done in Flash. But I'd like to do some kind of flash project.
14. Record a band/singer & make it sound REALLY good.
- Yeah, I kinda need a studio in order to do this.
19. Learn how to twirl a drumstick
20. Practice my drums for at least a half hour 3 times a week for a month
- I don't think I've practised my drums for a half hour since I started this list, let alone 3 times a week for a month. I really should. I miss playing my drums!
27. Learn how to sew
28. Make a really cool altered t-shirt
- by sewing, I meant using a sewing machine. I can sew a simple stitch by hand. Still planning on doing this - I need my mom to teach me, and she hasn't really had time. My first project will be an altered t-shirt :)
37. Find friends who like scrapbooking, and make a day of it!
- Definitely still want to do this! I had planned on doing this earlier this year, but things got a bit messy around my house, so I wasn't able to. Once everything's all settled down again, I will have a scrapbooking party!
38. Make a list of 101 things that make me happy
39. Copy this list (and the happy list) into a "me" scrapbook
- This is currently being worked on. I'm up to 85 things... it's really difficult to think of 101 different things! haha.
51. Make out under a sky lit up with fireworks
- I tried to make this one happen LOL... maybe next holiday :P
59. Figure out how EBAY works and start buying & selling
- I signed up for an account, but just never did anything with it. I feel like I'm too late on this trend. We'll see...
76. Drink min. 5 glasses of water every day for a month
- I have tried to do this SO many times. I've tried adding Crystal Light to water... I've tried drinking water in the morning as soon as I get up... I'm just not a big drinker. I don't think I drink 5 glasses of ANYTHING during the day.
78. Get a brazilian bikini wax & see what the big fuss is about.
- I'm so scared of the pain. LOL. And I need to find a good waxer, since my aesthetician is at my aunt's salon... that would just be weird.
81. Get you are beautiful stickers and give them out randomly
- Not really sure why I never did this... I should...
84. Take a bath with candles/relaxing music/bubbles (with or without a man present LOL.. i'm open on this one)
- I can't believe in 3 years, I haven't found the time to have a nice bath. I am GOING to do this.
92. Go skating at City Hall
- hmm... maybe next year. Amanda invited me earlier this year, but I think I ended up getting sick :(
97. Buy Top 10 of Top 100 American films for my DVD collection
- bought 5, have 5 more to go.
101. Read and/or buy books from the forbidden book list
- I read 5/7, am currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird, and still have to buy and read The Outsiders.
Things that I'm surprised I actually finished:
- All of my travel goals! I REALLY did not expect to do all of them, because I knew it would be fairly pricey (NY and CA travel) and I generally just travel to Florida LOL... So I'm pretty happy that I was able to do this one!
- Laser Hair Removal! Didn't think I'd actually go through with this one, because I thought it would be too expensive. It turned out to be less expensive than I thought it would be, and I can't wait to see the final results of it.
Things I'm surprised I didn't do:
- my tattoo. I've had the same idea in mind for a while, so I'm surprised I didn't. But now I'm also glad I didn't. Because I've modified my idea slightly, and because if I ever decide to get laser hair removal in the same place that I get my tattoo, the laser will erase the tatt. So this one is on hold for a bit.
- buying a condo. Honestly, I can't believe I haven't done this yet... but my career is just not stable enough at this point. I don't know what to do about this one.
Things I *reallllly* wish I had done:
- Only one thing on this list: Spend a day with my grandparents. I spent several lovely days with my grandmother, and I definitely have memories with both grandparents that will last a lifetime... but I wish I had taken just ONE more day with my grandfather while he was still alive.
All in all, even though I didn't manage to finish all the goals on my list, I'm really glad I tried this. Having goals written down really kept me on track with all the things that I wanted to do. And I think I will do this again!
