I’ll Be Okay
This must be what going mad feels like. I sit staring at the clock watching second after minute after hour tick by, wondering when time will stop and you’ll be back and I’ll be okay again. This must be what going mad feels like because when I’m here alone I can’t breathe right or think or feel because all my thoughts are you, you, you. This must be what going mad feels like because even though I’m a perfectly capable grownup human being I can’t do anything on my own anymore without constantly being distracted by thoughts of your soft blond hair, bright grey eyes or cheeky grin. The words in the book I’m attempting to read or blurred, obscured by your face, your hands your laugh. This must be what going mad feels like because I’m madly in love with you.
“Harry? What the bloody hell are you doing sitting in the dark? You have got to be the most bizarre creature I have ever met,” you shake your head fondly at me, come over and press your lips against mine. “Speccy git.”
“Welcome home,” I kiss back, and then talking is done for a while.
