So I was curious because of reasons and I looked up the average height of a man. Now I thought I'd get some blanket number but I found
this page when I Googled it (I adore Google, I really do).
Anyway, it has a list of the average heights of men and women in lots of countries. What did I find out, you ask? Canadians are short! I knew this on some level, many of our Canadian actors who stick in country are rather short (but super gorgeous, seriously, we have some utterly fantastic looking Canadian celebrities. Here are two of my favourites
Yannick Bisson and
Craig Olejnik, but I digress).
According to the chart, the average height of a man in Canada is 5'8.5" and the average height of a woman is 5'3.4" compared to the US with M=5'10.2" and F=5'4.6". UK - M=5'9.6" and F=5'4.4". Compared to world averages too, we are among the shortest!
*shakes head* Just another weird Canadian fact that I've discovered. Also, if anyone cares, I'm 5'0" with a .5 tacked on there if I'm lucky. Yeah, short.
I have my theories as to why if anyone cares, just ask! (Not about my height, but height of Canadians in general... lol).
