Pride and Prejudice/ Impressions

Apr 09, 2006 15:20

My greatest fantasy is to be Elizabeth Bennet. This fantasy, however, is conditional. I should only wish to be the second Miss Bennet as long as I should be made the happiest creature alive by marrying Mr. Darcy.

Thank you, Jane Austen.

Marry me, Mr. Darcy.

OH NO!!! I haven't read Catcher in the Rye! Ahhhh -- I have to read that now. Lol. Mr. Darcy seriously makes me like. holy shit. I am in love with him. Unfortunately, he doesn't exist, and if he did he would be dead by now. I am exceedingly sad over this. The upside: The strapping young man who plays him in the movie is quite adorable. The downside: I doubt he will ever ask me for my hand. I should write him. Only if he is like Mr. Darcy, however. How i love him. This is awkward. Silly literary crushes.

Literary crushes are the best and worst because the people (namely this mysterious Mr. Darcy) are everything you want them to be because you (in the end, essentially) create them in your head. ... Yet they are also so tragic because they are, in fact, fictional characters. I really would marry him though. What a shame, what a shame. But really though, i want to read Catcher in the Rye now just because i want to meet this holden character. How horrible is that? Lol.

You know what's funny? I have been talking backwards/like Yoda for like 2 weeks now. Lol. And you told me that read it i must. funny, funny.

Hey! It has been a while, it has. I'm glad you said hi! Your picture is really disturbing, just so you know. And the Mr. Darcy I'm referring to actually is a literary character created by Jane Austen for Pride and Prejudice... but i do have a Mr. Darcy of my own. His name is Stewart. And your Elizabeth Bennet?

Oh yeah, of course I knew who Mr. Darcy is! I also saw the movie, "Pride and Prejudice." Very good! Anyways, I don't have an Elizabeth Bennet right now, but when she's old enough, it would have to be Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). BTW, she's getting too hot to be playing Hermione in the Harry Potter films. You may also think I am sick, but I really am not, she's just my type I guess. Anyways, talk 2 u later. And, I will change my picture sooner or later, but only for you Lauren! Lol! Thanks for the tip.

Haha. I think it's okay to think she's hot. Now if you did and you actually knew her on like a friend basis I'd probably think you were sick. But literary/celebrity crushes are just like that. lol. I love Mr. Darcy. lol. I like the name Emma. And thanks for the honorary picture changer status. lol. Take care!

DO IT. You may or may not want to see the movie if you haven't already just because that will make the beginning easier to follow. However, if you do not want to ruin the end, i would not consider seeing it. lol. But you really should. I couldn't put it down. Which is weird, seeing as it was written in the late 1800s. lol.
