[Marceline's coming out of the radio tower, letting her hair fall out of a ponytail and shaking it out. She looks at the gear then.]

So do a lot of people from different worlds end up here? And does this place turn everyone human? 'Cause man, walking is a drag.

[A Zubat lands on her shoulder then, leaning to look at the screen.]Oh yeah, this is ( Read more... )

Pretty much.

You can find more in the grass outside of the city. [Not even.... remarking on the name of the bat Pokemon. A Sneasel is sitting right on this trainers shoulder though, and she is looking fairly bored at the screen.]

[It's a cool name!]

Grass outside the city, huh? Coolios.

Hey, what's that you've got on your shoulder?

[Maybe, if you're from a childrens TV show ----]

Others can be found in caves, mountains, grass anywhere, trees.. it's hard not to find any.

A Sneasel. [Glancing to Void, Vanitas shrugs while the Pokemon simply preens her claws, snuffing.] Dark and ice typed.

[Well it just so happens----]

Neato. So pretty much finding them anywhere. I can dig that.

Can't say I've learned much about types though. I've only heard that they come in different types.

You pick on it easily enough. Every type has a weakness. Fire are weak to water, ice are weak to fire, fighting is weak to psychic; most of them are fairly normal.

I think I can understand that. Kind of like where I'm from Vampires can't beat ghosts. It's like an overly complicated rock-paper-scissors structure.

What's rock-paper-scissors? [He knows Pokemon but he doesn't know what that is. His expression is saying he's serious. HAVE FUN MARMAR OLOL]

You've never... wow, first vampires, now rock-paper-scissors. [She shakes her head slightly in disbelief]

It's like, this game you play with your hands. You go "Rock. Paper. Scissors." [And she does the accompanying hand motions] and on the after the last one you throw out one symbol of your choosing, and the other person throws out one of theirs.

Rock crushes scissors, scissors cuts paper, and paper covers rock. Whoever loses usually get socked in the arm or has to do something for the winner. It's also used as a way to decide who gets to do something not fun.

Never what, heard of it? It's not something I learned where I'm from. What's a vampire? [He does listen properly though, watching, but the idea gets across quickly.] I understand what you mean by the Pokemon battles resembling it. I'll have to keep it in mind.. [The 'punch in the arm' for the loser, it sounds hilarious.]

[The punch is the best part.]

Wow, do they not have vampires in this place? Well, I guess if you're coming from all sorts of worlds.

Vampires are undead beings who survive off of blood. They're mostly heard of through scary stories and legends, but they really exist where I'm from.

[Totally agreeing here.]

Not that I've heard of, but it sounds similar to the evolved form of your bat. [Give a sec, getting his dex out.] Golbat loves to drink the blood of living things. It is particularly active in the pitch black of night. This Pokémon flits around in the night skies, seeking fresh blood.

Oh yeah! That's totally it. So these little guys are like vampire bats. There are some legends that say vampires can turn into bats or other creatures.

Hear that Sir Battington, you're gonna be a vampire bat. How sweet is that?

[That name for the Pokemon is still pretty strange, but he winds up with a half smirk anyway.] Tell me more about them? [They're interesting, to say the least, if they resemble that type of description.]
