[It is only by complete accident that Valjean's desire is broadcast across the network. For a man who works so frequently with the Dreamberries, it's rather ironic that he still has occasional trouble with with filtering and making broadcasts.]
For such a humble man, it should honestly come as no surprise that Valjean's greatest unspoken desire is indeed a simple one.
The scene is his near empty bedroom. Though it is quite an accomplishment that he's even moved into the home from his usual shack in the backyard, the room he calls his own is completely bare besides his bed and a small table against the wall.
Jean Valjean, or M. Fauchelevent as those in Somarium know him as, somehow appears to have grown even whiter for this vision, the sixty-some year old man now obviously being shown in his late seventies.
Still, despite how small he looks under the thin blanket on his bed, Valjean is basking joyfully in the presence of an older Cosette and Alice. There's a peaceful, fatherly expression smoothing over his wrinkled face as the two beautiful woman on either side of his bedside cling to his hands. And he is their focus. They love no one more than their adopted father. They would not run off to marry and live their lives until his last breath left his body.
Complete and utter peace.
