resolutions
doing a ten-year time warp - FINALLY re-teaching myself cello. not picking it back up, no. i am legitimately having to reteach it to myself right now haha. i forgot & didn't even realize how much. and i was despairing at this for a minute as i stared at this piece of sheet music, Bizet's Soldier's Chorus from Carmen, until I realized I had spaced out and was just playing it without even realizing it, without thinking about every single note. just DOING it.
and it was good.
as a 20 year old today, i resolve to space out more. LOL. getting older shouldn't allow getting *more* spacey, you'd think. but i might be one of those "special" cases haha.
when is the right time to reclaim your lost childhood anyway?
10 years ago today it is very possible that i *was* sitting in my cold freakin messy room with a clock ticking, in crappy pajamas and braided hair, feeling a little hopeful and not much older but maybe more responsible than the year before, and playing. playing by my own rules.
and it was good.
