More Five Fandom Things Meme: this one is for Rissy_rae2000 It took a long time to write and I know it still isn't what you had in mind, but I did finish it. Sorry for all the waiting.
“I have no idea why I still talk to you,” Wilson announced in exasperation at his long time, often confusing friend. House hardly seemed to register the complaint, his fingers moving nimbly on the Game Boy in his hand, but after a time he responded.
“You can’t help it,” he said without looking up. Wilson balked, and made to walk way pausing with his fingers an inch from the door handle.
“You think I enjoy this? Whatever this is?” He retorted, in retaliation to House’s utter indifference.
“I think you crave it,” House replied finally looking up, his eyebrows raised in a challenge.
“It’s so easy to come here and try to fix me, like your wives, like your patients. Sure sometimes you find me tiresome, but you keep coming back.”
“You are incredibly self assured, House.,” Wilson interjected shaking his head. “Did it ever occur to you that I might want some sort of reciprocal relationship. I help you; you help me?”
“If you really wanted that you wouldn’t be friends with me,” House challenged standing and making his own way to the door.
Wilson preempted him and opened the door, waiting in the hall for the other man to emerge., “Sort your next problem out on your own, in that case.”
“I will, if you can resist giving me advice.”
“argh, Your rude, Selfish, bitter, cynical, and an incredibly annoying perfectionist…”
“All things about me you find incredibly endearing,” House interrupted him, and Wilson stalked away to stew.
