[The video feed clicks on and moves about a moment, the screen blurry before coming into focus on Frank's face. The youth has his usual unimpressed gaze fixated on the viewer, mouth locked into a bit of a grimace.]
To those who find themselves wet with fear over this recent onslaught of animated vegetation, pay heed to my demonstration.
[And he sets the Dreamberry down, positioning it so the viewer can witness one of the streets in Espoir. It would seem Frank's balanced the Dreamberry against a fence, proping it up as best he can so that he can kindly demonstrate something. In the distance, one can see a mass of red shuffling towards the young soldier who now stands just off camera, his side visible from the corner of the screen.
The crimson void moves in closer, the viewer can clearly see what accursed creation it is - it's a hoard of violent tomatoes. The fruits of unrest seem to growl and smack, keeping a bit of distance as they seemingly taunt Frank. Though only part of the boy is visible right now, his arm tenses up and he springs to life, leaping forward and into the fray.
In a matter of seconds, the youth has drawn his machete and brings the blade down swiftly. There's something both graceful yet uncontrolled in his movements, wildly hacking away at the killer tomatoes that attempt to fight back. Red juice and seeds splatter on his clothes and along his blade. The wild assault only lasts a few moments before it's all over, nothing remaining but a mess of red and green stems.
Frank turns around and wipes his machete down with his already stained t-shirt. He bends at the knee, looking straight into the camera.]
...They are vegetables.
