*Has a hand on his shoulder, looking disturbed.*

Was that a memory?

[Frank nods. It's about as real as a memory for him can be.]

It was.

*Lowers his hand, doing a poor job of hiding a shudder.*

Why did she do that?

I was sedated so that I may be safely transported in order to complete whatever mission I was to be assigned.

And so to transport you they sedated you?

Why go that far? I mean, why not just have you--buckle up, or something?

...I couldn't be trusted.

The others in my unit, those ranking above me, below me... Even the medical staff feared me. They were forced to take a great number of precautions.

So because they were scared they just up and drugged you to travel? Why couldn't they just talk to you! You're a person, not some animal!

Did you report it to your bosses?

...Report it?

What do you mean?

The sedation, the way they just--took your blood like that! Even in the military, that kind of thing can't be legal!

If you report it, they might stop.

No.

Elisa was following her orders. Her duty was to ensure the health of the perfect soldier. Frequent blood tests and urine analysis were required to ensure my body was in proper condition to complete my mission. Sedation and physical restraints were mandatory to ensure I did not harm my own comrades.

My unit did what they needed to in order to minimize the risk of working alongside the perfect soldier.

So because she was following orders, that somehow makes it okay?

Why would you have hurt your own comrades?! Did you used to go around punching random people in the face, or something? Because unless you did, I don't get their logic at all. I mean--you're the perfect soldier! How could you possibly attack the wrong side!?

Though you possess the skills similar to that of a rookie soldier, there are many things about my world you may not understand. It is through no fault of your own... But there are certain things a civilian is unable to fathom.

Oh come on, not with the 'you wouldn't understand' thing, again! Seriously, now I know why my sister would always call me on that.

What's so incredibly different that I can't understand? You--well, just said I know how to fight. What else is there to get?

[Frank's eyes narrow a bit on Danny.]

Have you taken a man's life?

*Draws up short, forced to pause. He's no killer--fear of what he could become has made sure of that.*

... No, I haven't.

...Pray that you never have to.

[Although death has always been a part of Frank's life, he would never wish his experiences upon someone else.]
