New Year (sort of), New Account
Sooo...I got bored with my old Livejournal account, seeing as I haven't updated it in over a year, so I made a new one. I mean, why not? Afterall, there is absolutely nothing to do in a boarding school in the middle of nowhereness that is Maine. I think I've been in my room for over 5 hours now...straight. I was planning to go to the movie they were showing here on campus, but I resolved that I needed some 'me' time. Even if that does mean being anti-social, as I so often am referred to as.
So, what's new with me? Hmmm...Finally got out of the hell hole (i.e. Brazil) for starters *rejoices*, ended up in a new one, which isn't as bad, and am currently re-evaluating my priorities. Let's see, I'm doing okay in school, but I don't like it the least bit. Teachers aren't exactly inspiring me to have interest in school either. Let's just say they don't amaze me like I thought they would. Solution: Reapplying to my school of choice: Northfield Mount Hermon. Being as I am a complete idiot, I didn't figure this out until 4 days before the application due date. Imagine my rush. I scrambled to print out all my apps, gave teachers one day to fill out rec's, wrote the worst essay of my life and express mailed everything on the day it was due. Adventurous...true. I just hope it works, again.
Am tired and planning to sleep in 'til one. Very excited about that. I'm out.
P.S. We had this classical music mini-concert today at school. It was amazing. Too bad most people don't appreciate the richness of classical music. Now, I've got Brahms playing over and over in my head, which of course, isn't a bad thing.
