TES: Skyrim
I have this to say about The Elder Scrolls V - Morrowind.
Holy crap.
If you've been following this game, you've seen a lot of footage about the first 3 hours of gameplay, minus the first 40 minutes or so.
Well. The first 40 minutes are awesome. Best intro to a game I've seen in a long, long time.
I finally played through pretty much everything I'd seen in the previews, last night... and it was incredible. Even having seen most of the scenes, locations, and baddies before, it was incredible.
So, my little Khajiit rogue begins her journey. Dragonborn? She's dubious. But there's a lot of opportunity in the frozen north, and she plans to make the most of it. And having killed one dragon (with the help of quite a few guards and soldiers), she finds herself in the Jarl's good graces... her crimes forgiven, and a good chance the guards will look the other way, should someone's purse happen to find its way into her claws.
Seems like maybe milking this 'hero' thing might be good for some good solid coin. Might as well play along.
