I have Okamiden!

Got it a couple of days ago, actually. And OMFG the cute! No surprise, the drawing system works great on the DS. The art... suffers a little. I was spoiled by the big ol' fullscreen lotsapixels of the origina Okamil, but it still works really well. If you have a PS2 and haven't played Okami, then... shame on you. :p

Diggin' it lots. And lots.

Thanks to the most excellent and wonderful bfly, I now have the complete Fallen Moon trilogy... which promises to be chock full o' gryphons! Yay! Or griffins, as they call 'em.
So nice to read something that's not all about dragons. :P I will review this later. It is only bone-headed determination that's making me wade through the last 140 pages of Czerneda's Survival.

It's apparently Summertime now... augh, hot! Well, OK, not HOT hot... not Texas Summer Hot yet, but it's eight freakin' six degrees. 86 °F. Augh.

However, it's nice motorcycling weather, and I've been taking the bike to work a lot. Today I had my first heat-induced problem - with a nearly empty tank and hot weather, the bike gets cranky when I've driven a couple of blocks. Basically the air in the tank cools down rapidly from the movement, and tries to suck air. I think my tank bag prevents it from drawing air through the cap like it should. So I pulled into a neighborhood to fix it (easy - just pop the tank open for a sec).

No sooner had I pulled over than a hoard of children started streaming down the yards, from a house 3 or 4 down the way, yelling "LEMONADE! LEMONADE! ONLY ... uh... ONLY TWENYFIVE CENTS! LEMONAAAAADE!" ... seriously, at the top of their charming and robust little lungs.

Well, this was too adorable to pass up, and also I feared for my life. So once I got the bike going again I puttered the 50' or so down to their makeshift stand, paid my quarter, and got a cup of infection delicious lemonade. They were quite thrilled, albiet a little confused - not too many customers yet, I would guess. The oldest girl (maybe 8?) was handling the money, and made correct change for a dollar. For which I complimented her. They thought the bike was cool, of course, because... hey, bike!

Anyway, that was fun. :)
