Room 513 of Different International Relations; Friday Afternoon [ 06/12 ].

Jun 12, 2009 08:37

Turtle was making a list and checking it twice of who she could remember selling umbrellas to last night and made rain checks for, just so she could have it on file and keep track of who has paid her yet or who hasn't, and she set up so that she could spend some time working in her 'office' today, since most people said they'd come by and pay. Leto owed Turtle money, so he found her room, knocking lightly on the open door, waiting for a permission to enter. "Hello, Turtle."

[A bit of SP from me today, but I hope that's ok]

Turtle looked up from her work at the sound of a knock, biting her lip a little with realization that the only problem with telling people that they could pay later was the fact that some people would then have to actually talk to you later.

"Leto," Turtle nodded. "Come to pay for the umbrella?"

She bit back adding something like or just come to annoy me more, though, as, if he was here to pay, then this was a business transaction, which called for some level of etiquette.

[[ sp is always okay! =D ]]

"I have," he confirmed. If she wanted annoying that could be a bonus.

He entered the room, glancing around. "Who is your roommate?"

And, since this was a business transaction, Turtle also kept back her question of why, want to try to sleep with her?

Which would possibly mean having to stab Leto in the face while he slept. Just saying. Maron was a sweetheart.

"Her name's Maron," she said, looking at Leto looking around. "Have you met her?"

Oblivious to the precise nature of her thoughts, Leto nonetheless noticed that he wasn't exactly appreciated.

"I haven't," he said. "Do you two get along?" It was just casual conversation. He approached her, throwing a glance at the bed to see what she was doing.

"We do," Turtle said, nodding slightly as she followed Leto's eyes to all of her business files and charts scattered around her. "She's really nice and I think we relate to each other really well. She's working at the store, too, and she's a very hard working employee."

"So, a lucky choice for you." His gaze moved from the files to Turtle herself and he smiled. "Did you manage to get some sleep?"

Despite herself, Turtle smiled a little. "I always sleep well when I've had good business," she said. "Speaking of which, five dollars, Leto."

He pulled the money out of his pocket and offered them to her. "So, business was good?" Yes, he grinned.

"Thanks," Turtle took the money, tucked it away, and then went to strike Leto's name off her list. "And not as good as I would have liked, honestly, but not too shabby, either. More than what it would have been if I hadn't done it at all, so it was a worthy use of time."

"Of course." He showed no intention of leaving. That was quite deliberately done. "So, what else have you been doing lately?"

[and bedtime for me!]

Turtle took a moment, looking at Leto, to estimate how long it would be before this turned from idle conversation to annoying debate. She guessed not long. "Work," she answered at length, nodding toward all the files and charts. "You?"

[[ sleep well! ]]

He smiled at her. "Apart from classes, I have the reserve and then Karla asked me to teach her knife fighting. But it's not much. I guess I should find something to keep me busy."

"Oh, you never seem to have too much of a problem with that," Turtle noted before she could help it.

He raised an eyebrow. "From someone who approves of hard work I take that as a compliment." He made an effort to conceal any sign of teasing.

"Having something to do and hard work are not always the same thing, Leto."
