This is an article from Salon.com regarding the slow but steady introduction by the current U.S. administration of the words "Al-Qaida" or "Al-Queda" (never know which one is right) to describe any U.S. enemy in Iraq. It shows through quotes and stats from major newspapers how the media (NYTimes, Washington Post, CNN) has lazily gone along with the governments use of the word for the enemy in their own stories.

I've disabled comments because I know where most people stand on this issue. I don't want to start any arguments. I actually find the development fascinating and a bit frightening as someone who has studied journalism. I am not finding fault with the U.S. administration for doing it -- I am a cynic with regard to politics and realize propaganda is quite normal with any government. I am just mystified by the media being so sloppy.
