I lost my mum today. I think I'm doing all right, but I don't know if it's hit me yet. It occurs to me that with Terry otherwise occupied, you're the closest male friend I have, so I'm hoping you'll be up for a bender with me one of these days. Not that you drink all that much, but I could sure use the company and maybe someone to tuck me in properly. I should be back home on Saturday or Sunday, let me know if you're free?

How's George? Hope you're doing better than the last time I saw you. Sorry I haven't been by to check up on you, but I've been up at my parents. My mother had an aneurysm and today she died of her injuries. As if I wasn't fucked up enough, right? I haven't quite made up my mind if I'm going to risk our friendship by taking advantage of your services as a therapist, but I'm worried about my dad, and I might be in need of some advice. I'll be back after the funeral next weekend, so maybe we can talk sometime soon?
