Daphne lifted her head from her pillow, looking over at Tony. He was still sleeping, so she snuggled closer careful not to jostle him. He looked so peaceful and relaxed and really just downright adorable, that waking him would seem a terrible shame. Even if she was suffering from a nearly irresistible urge to snog him senseless. A gentle peck on the cheek would have to do for now.
Wrapping her arm around him, she closed her eyes again. Another half hour of sleep wouldn't hurt. Actually Daphne was feeling kind of lazy and in need of a private moment.
To think she had been so nervous about this visit and meeting his parents. There really hadn't been anything to be so worried about and the only thing that was just slightly amiss was the small nag of jealousy that her own mother had never shown just an ounce of that amount of warmth but that couldn't be helped though. Her mother just cared in different ways, but at least Tony had been warned about that. Quite often, actually.
Now was not the time for worry, though. She was feeling too happy and too loved at the moment to be truly capable of worrying. Better to save that for later and do it properly then, she decided as she drifted back off to sleep.
