Summary: Taking care of the unicorns.
Completion: Incomplete

Wilhelmina laid the copy of that morning's breakfast down on the table and frowned at her tea. Sounded like it was going to get colder. That... wasn't good. The house was warm enough at the moment - Willa thought so, anyway - but there was no building houses for the unicorns.

They were wild animals, used to cold weather - many of them had come from Scotland, and the winters were bitter there - but if it was going to be this bad...

It was Lina and Zeus she was most worried about. Lina was still feeding him from the teat, and foals didn't do as well in the cold as their fully grown counterparts.

There was nothing for it. She'd have to brave the snow and see to them, cast some charms that might keep the worst of the cold at bay. Clear some of the snow. Find them a warm, dry place to be sleeping.

It was bitterly cold outside, and the snow came up past her ankles. She wouldn't be able to see anything on the ground here - and neither would the unicorns. The last thing she needed was for one of them to go lame when the animal shelter and clinic would be stretched to its limit as it was. It pained Willa to think of cats and dogs out in the cold like this.

Her fingers froze in the time she had her glove off - long enough to pack her pipe for something to distract her from the cold air against her face. She held the pipe in her mouth for the moment it took her to shove her glove back on and find her wand (lit the pipe with it a moment later), and then she ambled off into the trees with wand in one hand and pipe in the other.
