Summary: Contemplating the weather and writing owls
Completion: Incomplete
Bringing her tea cup out to the front reception desk, Ginny leaned against the counter watching the snow piling up outside as Lydia pushed a stack of owls at her, saying. "Oi! It's about time you wandered down here, missy. I thought I'd have to trudge up that shaky staircase to find you."
"Now, Lydia. You make it sound like I'm hiding. I do actually work up there, you know," Ginny teased, taking a sip of her tea and contemplating another night with the bed pulled over by the fireplace. She'd added two more quilts to the bed and done everything she could think of to the Muggle fixtures but they didn't heat up like Jack had said they would no matter what she did. She thought of owling on of her brothers to come take a look but George and Bill had been so busy lately and Ron was swamped with the Quidditch games that she didn't want to bother them. Still, she'd have to do something about it soon enough.
Those thoughts were enough to remind her that she had other owls to send out and, knicking a few sheets of parchment from Lydia, Ginny moved to sit in one of the seats by the window, propping her feet up on the low table as she wrote.
Dear Tonks,
It's been a long time, love. I wanted to see how you were doing and see if maybe we could catch a minute to have something to drink. There's a couple of things I thought we might talk about.
Love,
Ginny
Dear Rabastan,
I apologize for missing you last Monday but something came up at work and really, that's sort of why I'm writing. I've appreciated I'll always be grateful that you took the time to teach me how to defend myself, muggle-style. And your friendship has been a comfort But I've given this a lot of thought and I think I've learned enough.
I heard about the gallery and it made me think of It was mentioned that the gallery is open now and I wish you all the best with that. I hope you can understand my decision, hard as it I hope the holidays are good for you and yours and once again, I thank you.
Sincerely,
Ginny
