Wayne put down the letter from Patrick and squeezed the bridge of his nose. When David had given it to him at lunch on Saturday, he'd put it into his coat pocket and forgot about it. It had been months since he'd talked to anyone in his family except David, and the letter was definitely a surprise. He wouldn't think about it right now, though. He needed to get back to work before Sammons hexed him for being lazy.

After he focused on his paperwork, he worked on schedules for the rooms and checked sign ups for various classes. Attendance was increasing month to month, which was great to see. A knock on the door drew his attention, and he glanced up. "Come in."

Orla poked her head in. It had been ages since she'd seen or spoken to Wayne. Fortunately, she didn't have to worry if he would be naked this go round.

"Hello, Mr. Hopkins? It's Orla Quirke. I wanted to thank you for letting me use the community centre while my home was being renovated. Do you have a minute? I wanted to ask you about another venture I was hoping to hold here." She stood inside the doorway, hoping she wasn't disturbing. He certainly looked busy.

"Afternoon, Miss Orla." Wayne leaned back in his chair and smiled. "Sure, I've got a minute. What sort of bloke would I be if I didn't have time for a pretty lady?"

He stood up and nodded towards the chair. "Please, come in and sit. Another venture? What did you have in mind?"

An honest one. Orla barely kept from blurting that slightly obnoxious observation out. He was a really nice man, even if he flirted with everything that moved. She flushed, and came in, taking a seat across from him.

"Well, I was looking to start a women's support group. Basically, a place where women in Stoatshead could come together, share their experiences, and learn to heal from the traumas of the war together." It was a highly simplified version of what she wanted to do, but she figured he didn't need all the details. "I'm hoping for once a week every other week, if that is suitable."
