Rabastan collected the children at the end of the costume parade. They had been adorable in their Dorothy and Scarecrow outfits their mother had fashioned for them.

"Can we do pumkims next, Unca Rab?" Wally asked.

"Did your mother not take you to carve pumpkins last weekend, Wally?" Rabastan asked the little boy. When he mentioned to Mrs. Carter the Longbottom carving contest and she had said she saw a notice on the way to the market and promised the children a visit.

"Yes, sir. But maybe they have toads here too," Wally explained... or at least tried do.

"Wally wanted to win a toad in the carving contest, Uncle Rab, but we didn't win anything," his older sister Amelia clarified.

"Ah, well, now I understand. You may ask what the prizes are if you do so politely, Wally."

Rabastan smiled as he saw who was working the booth. "Arabella, how nice to see you again. These are my friends Amelia and Wally. Say hello to Mrs... Figg, wasn't it?"

Both children promptly said hello and asked how she was as they had been instructed to do when introduced to a grownup, then Wally added, "Are dere suprizes for carving pumpkims, ma'am?"
