Notices had been posted at the beginning of the month and again last weekend. They had setup that morning so that by noon, everything was ready and there was time for everyone to enjoy the buffet Socks had catered in for the volunteers. Caradoc had set perimeter wards and obscuring charms on the outside areas to keep everything secure and under wraps until the Fete began at 2 o'clock.

A games area for both kids and grownups offered small prizes that had been donated by local businesses. Milk jugs were charmed to stack and re-stack themselves into pyramids for attendees to knock down. There was also a ring toss and a few other games, but Caradoc thought that a favorite would be the "Test Your Strength" game. One of the volunteers created one of those things were you used a huge mallet to try to ring a bell.

The pumpkin carving area had small pumpkins where the kids would draw out the design on the pumpkin and a volunteer would magically carve it for them.

The children would be parading along Alpha Road in their costumes at 3 o'clock.

The teens from orphanage who had volunteered for the Arts Festival had written a puppet show and would be alternating the small stage with a storyteller.

Socks had organized apple cider, pumpkin juice, biscuits and roasted nuts for treats. Caradoc had provided a couple bushels of apples from his small orchard for the treats area also.

The bonfire had the wood in place and there were small sticks available for the kids to toss on with parental supervision after the initial lighting at sunset.

At 1:45 the volunteers took their places and Caradoc took down the wards and charms, opening the Community Centre's first Village Fete.
