Ron was acting like an excitable puppy. Hermione had to smile when she saw how relaxed he was, how happy to be out and just struggling to be somewhat normal. He was the primary reason why she'd gone ahead and closed her book to go with him. Well, that and the fact that she was pretty hungry.

It was a clear evening but definitely colder than the last time she'd been out after dark. She murmured a warming charm for all three of them and kept her hands in the pocket of her coat as they walked, just chatting occasionally and enjoying the peaceful silence.

When they'd walked awhile, she was pleased to see a storefront with a menu. She smiled at Ron. "Well, you can't always judge something by its name," she said, shrugging as she glanced at Harry. "What do you think?"

The fresh air felt wonderful. He hadn't been out since venturing to the market the other day, but figured that he was going to have to start facing people eventually. At Hermione's prompting, he peered at the menu and shrugged. "We've eaten in worse places, I'd say. We should go in, see what it's like,"

Something about the place gave him a warm feeling and he pulled open the door. Inside, there were a few people seated already, and a gaggle of house elves darted about, taking and delivering orders. He just hoped that Hermione didn't take offense.

"Okay, mate," said Ron as he held the door open for Harry and Hermione. Once inside he was bombarded by the most wonderful aromas he'd smelled in years, other than his mum's cooking. Looking around, he couldn't miss the house elves darting about, carrying trays of food to the diners already seated.

"Smells great in here," he said finally. "Er, you think these house elves are from Hogwarts?" He shook his head at the next idea that popped into it. "Ohhh...SOCKS! How bloody obvious is that?" Now he couldn't help teasing Hermione a bit. "I bet I know who runs this place. Dobby."

"Yes, we have," she agreed. "When we've been fortunate to eat anywhere."

Hermione followed the boys inside and looked around curiously. There were house elves everywhere, she noticed immediately. Then she noticed something that made her smile slightly. They were all wearing clothes!

"Oh, isn't this wonderful?" she asked, hugging Ron from behind. "I'll bet it is. And you said that S.P.E.W. was pointless." She smacked his side lightly and smiled up at Harry.

"I'm starving," she declared before taking their hands and dragging them to an empty table near the back, not so close to everyone. She might know she needed to get out more, but it didn't mean she actually wanted to be social.
