Hey Roger,
I just had a job interview and I think I might have got it in the bag. Won't know for a day or two for sure, but I'll be down at the 5 Alarm if you'd like to join me for a drink or two. I haven't seen you in a while, need to make sure that messy flat of yours hasn't developed its own personality and eaten you! No need to send a reply, just turn up if you can.

The dark-feathered form of Moeko swept out of Mandy's window as she grabbed her bag and headed out the door. She had returned to her flat briefly to freshen up before going out, and had changed into a pair of snug-fitting jeans and her favourite pale green top.
Blaise was inscruteable and so she really had no idea if she would get the job or not. Obviously I'd be the best for it but how on earth am I supposed to tell if he thinks the same? Well he's smart, he should be able to see that.
Socks wasn't really an option for a place to go, Mandy would have felt too awkward in there on her own and her fluctuating emotions much preferred the idea of the pub that evening. Even if Roger was not able to make it, Mandy was confident she could find someone to share in her happy mood. Should probably grab something to eat here while I'm at it...
Her current buoyant mood meant Mandy was not too observant about who was behind the bar when she approached it. It took her a second to recognise the sandy-blond hair and broad shoulders of the wizard who had his back turned, but it was too late to go off to a table and avoid him.
