Fred tidied up the shop. He hated tidying.
Especially when he could be experimenting with new products. He was looking forward to hiring more help for the shop. Then he and George could experiment to their little hearts' content.
He was sweeping when he heard the door open. He looked up, expecting a customer, and was pleased to see Hannah. George had told him that she was interested in working at the shop, but he hadn't said whether she'd be dropping by or not. He grinned, and gestured expansively at the apothecary.
"Does it meet your standards, ma'am, for a suitable workplace?" he asked, smiling. "Good to see you, Hannah."
