Irma looked at the parchment. A trip to Paris. With Caradoc. This weekend. They had discussed it when he had first met Andy - but that was a while ago, and since then… well, Sunday afternoon had happened. She bit her lip and looked at the parchment. Maybe it would do them good to get away from Stoatshead Hill and all interruptions and having to work the next morning without physical evidence of what one had done the previous evening on one's… Maybe it would be good to get away. And she did want to explore the library, or libraries, as well as some of the bookshops.
Resolutely she penned an acceptance and sent it back with the same owl.
Dex met Caradoc as he ran up Epsilon. The Great Horned Owl like flying about about while he jogged and they returned to the house together. Inside he read Irma's reply and smiled. He'd reply after he had made their arrangements.
By lunch, he had it all set, but he didn't like disturbing her at work. He waited until evening, then sent Poindexter off again, telling him to deliver it to her flat.
Dear Irma,
We'll take the Floo Friday evening to Paris. I thought we'd be more comfortable staying a magical hotel.
That fabulous cocktail dress of Gertrude's you wore on our first date, or something like it, would be perfect for the jazz club Friday evening. We'll have dinner there.

And Irma, the pajamas are optional.
Yours,
Caradoc
