Rabastan looked over the letter asking if his Saturday appointment could be postponed. Rabastan certainly did not mind given the reason, but he had originally allotted an entire day to those negotiations. The cancellation surprisingly left him with an entire weekend completely free of business appointments, and an entire weekend free naturally lead him to thoughts of whether or not he might be able to convince Narcissa to take the weekend off as well. After replying to his business acquaintance that yes, moving the meeting would be acceptable, he sent Bronwyn off with directions to return directly as he began a note to Cissy.

Dearest Narcissa,

An unforeseen turn of events has suddenly left me with an entire weekend completely free of business meetings. Is there any possibility you might be able to find yourself free as well? I can think of a number of things we might enjoy together if you would be willing to travel with me. Curious, darling? I hope so. Particularly if it induces you to indulge me.

Yours,
Rabastan

When Bronwyn returned he sent her off to Cissy. He ate lunch while he wrote to tease Rodolphus about the way he had found him when he visited last night.

Dear Rodolphus,

I was tempted to leave the charcoal smeared across your face when I moved your carcass from where you slept against your drawing, but the puddle of drool you left behind made me take pity on you. Really, Brother, you own a bed. Do you think perhaps you might try sleeping in it instead of in your art supplies?

I had intended to invite you to dine and discuss the gallery progress when I stopped by, but Zookie told me you had not been sleeping again, so I cleaned you up, put you to bed and let you drool on your pillow instead. In place of dinner, I have substituted by sending along some of Mama's favorite soup. Do try to keep your face out of the soup bowl, will you? I know you have been lost in your art, but do consider sparing a moment or two to let me know you are alive once in awhile. Drool is optional.

Your Brother,
Rabastan

Packing up a large container of soup and some bread, Rabastan called for Zookie. Hearing that Rodolphus was out painting, Rabastan was careful to tell her she did not have to disturb him, but she should give him the letter and feed him the soup when he came home. Rabastan thought his brother was working too hard, but knew he wanted to have a wide variety of paintings ready for the gallery opening.

Finally, Rabastan had another piece of business he needed to attend to, having worked out the deal he needed in Casablanca to make his idea work. From what he had heard about the Weasley at the Ministry, he was nothing like his sister, but he was interested in meeting him and judging for himself.

Percy Weasley
British Ministry of Magic
Stoatshead Hill, England

Dear Mr. Weasley:

I hope that you or someone from your department may be able to spare me some time Friday morning or early next week to discuss a manufacturing operation I wish to setup here in Stoatshead Hill. As I am sure you are well aware, there are a large number of citizens still without steady employment and the lack of traditional jobs for relatively unskilled labor remains a significant challenge to both the peace and the economy.

I believe that my idea would be advantageous to all, however there are a number of issues I need to resolve with the Ministry before starting the enterprise. I have heard a number of excellent things regarding your office and its efficiency, therefore I believe an hour would be sufficient time. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Rabastan Lestrange
