It was his turn to watch the shop while Fred went for lunch. And that was fine, really, but fuck he was tired. They really had been putting in too many hours lately, and he'd be damn glad when they hired on another set of hands.
It didn't matter, the shop was dead this time of day anyway. He sent Meg out for food as well and then started working on a special order for one of their regulars who would be in later in the day. There was a small area cleared behind the counter and he worked there, carefully measuring and stirring. At least out here, he could keep an eye on the door in case anyone stopped in.
