Seamus was having a staring contest with his suitcase. He sat across from it, in his bedroom, a bottle of something or other that was burning his throat in one hand and his wand in the other.
Seamus wasn’t quite sure how staring at his luggage would make it unpack itself but -he supposed- stranger things had happened. For instance his Auntie Gillian at the wedding (who was coming up to one hundred and fifteen years old) had loudly announced at the wedding reception she had discovered the joys of lesbianism and her and a woman called Margaret were buying a house together (love shack, she had called it) in Mexico next spring. She then proceeded to out limbo the whole family. Seamus had merely shrugged and ordered another drink at the bar.
He’d enjoyed being home. Seeing the family and playing with various new arrivals in the extended family. But he missed England- in particularly, Dean.
Seamus grumbled. ‘Bloody- gay I am,’ he slurred, pushing himself up off the floor after giving up with his suitcase war, ‘only came home cause I missed his big … gimpy- face. Oh I love him, I love him, Ilovehim,’ Seamus said to his cat, Sasha, who was twisting about his feet.
‘And he’s comin’ over, yep! Any minute now! And Daddy Seamus is already preeeetttyyy drunk so Daddy Dean is going to have to either get equally shitfaced or put him to bed again!’ Seamus cooed as he stumbled into the living room and flopped onto the sofa. Sasha jumped up and settled herself onto his lap as Seamus clumsily stroked her, making sporadic baby noises, waiting for the knock at the door.
