Padma entered the shop and looked up as Angelina said hello to her. She smiled and walked over to her. "Hello, Angelina. Please, call me Padma. You landed on my roof after all." She looked around the shop before focusing back on her.

"I need a broom, but I don't know a damn thing about them, so I was hoping you could help me figure out what's best and then make it, of course." She smiled up at her hopefully.

"Lovely to see you again, Padma," she said. Damn! She was hoping Padma wouldn't bring up the intrusion. She'd felt bad enough about it at the time, as it was. She hoped Padma wasn't too put off, but it seemed that the witch was in good enough spirits, so either she'd been forgiving or she really needed a broom. She was hoping it would be the first ( ... )

Padma smiled at Angelina. Really, she didn't mind the roof incident. It was just funny now. "Lovely to see you too. How have you been lately? Did you have fun at the Quidditch weekend?"

Here, Padma bit and chewed on her bottom lip a moment. "Well, it's not for me. It's for Marcus. He really needs an new broom, and in this case, I assume the primary use would be racing or playing Quidditch."

Following Angelina around, Padma was frankly amazed that so much work went into a broom. She'd had no idea. She looked at the various types of wood, brush, oils and cores and felt a little overwhelmed, but she had to admit, it was interesting.

She did have a question though. "Then does the racer pick the broom or the broom the racer? Like a wand would." Padma looked around at everything one more time before turning her attention back to Angelina.

"I'll go with your advice in everything, Angelina. I really have no idea about what's best in this area." She smiled.

"I've been good, keeping busy with the shoppe," she replied. "Quidditch was great fun. I'm glad so many people came and after the race, I had a lovely lunch with Fleur ( ... )

"That's good to hear. Fleur sounds like the perfect person to have lunch with. She's such a wonderful person."

Padma grinned before blushing a little. "His broom was horrible at the race, so I know he would like to have a new one." Padma watched her take out some writing materials and then heard Angelina answer her question. She nodded, interested.

When she heard what was needed, she frowned a tiny bit. "I'll have to get back to you on the wand core. Not sure I'll find out without him questioning though." She grinned. "And as for measurements, it depends on how specific." She wanted this to be a surprise for Marcus, but he worked all day, so it wasn't terribly hard for her to be sneaky.

"And she makes wonderful French food!" said Angelina, her tummy rumbling at the thought of such a lovely lunch.

"He's a good flier, so I'm sure he'll do even better once he's got a proper broom, but we're about to fix that, aren't we?"

Angelina looked up at Padma. "As for measurements, I should be able to make a good estimate based off some clothing if you can sneak some away for me to take a look at. And I'm sure I can figure out what types of wood would be fitting without knowing his wand type... mostly it depends on the personality of the wizard and what he intends to use the broom for and you've already told me that," she smiled.

This certainly would be an interesting broom to design. "Once you get me either measurements or clothes, the process should take about two weeks and it'll be ready to fly!" Angelina grinned, hoping this news would be pleasing to the witch.

"She actually hasn't cooked for me yet. I should bother her into doing it. She's certainly bothering me about another Indian meal." She grinned to show that it really was no bother at all.

"He is a good flier. he won on that stupid broom he has now, so it does say something to his skill." She looked up smiled. "Yes, we'll fix it. Thank you, Angelina."

Padma nodded. It would be easy enough to steal a shirt. In fact, she was nearly positive she had one in a drawer somewhere. "All right, I'll be sure to owl it to you in the next day or so."

"Two weeks? I thought it would be longer." She smiled before holding out her hand for Angelina to shake. "Thank you very much, Angelina. Now, do I pay you in advance? And, do you accept muggle money? It's all I have."

"Wow, do you cook? I love Indian food. Anything spicy. YUM," Angelina winked at her.

"Two weeks at the maximum, shorter if it's the only project I have," she replied. "As far as payment goes, you can pay when you come to pick it up or I can bill you if you'd like to have the broom sent. And Muggle money is fine... I deal in both Magical and Muggle money."

Angelina smiled back at the young witch. Really, she was quite pleasant. Angelina was glad they'd been able to put her intrusion behind them. She grinned as they finished their dealing, thinking how nice it was that she had at least another casual acquaintance in Stoatshead Hill.
