After puttering around the flat getting chores done and dealing with laundry, Wayne was ready to get out. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go to the pub for a drink or if he just wanted to take a walk in the rain, but anything would be better than the monotony of washing floors, folding clothes, and scrubbing dishes.
He'd be glad when Zach got home. It had only been a few days, but he felt restless knowing that the flat below and the flat above him were both empty. He didn't know Mandy that well, but he liked her and thought they could be friends if the Zach situation didn't prevent any chance of that. So, it was strange not to hear noises above his flat, just to know she was around and possibly making delicious waffles again.
As for Zach, he was probably happier than he should be about how things had progressed for them. Their date last week had been a huge step, to him, but he still had no idea what it meant. The Mandy Factor, as he'd begun calling it, was just too unclear and uncertain for him to have any real idea one way or another where he stood, exactly.
Added to that was the worry about the centre, because he desperately didn't want it to fail and wanted it to be good for this world and to help in ways he couldn't even figure out yet, and the fact that he'd not spoken to any of his family but David in weeks, and he was just about to crawl out of his skin. A walk would help, since he couldn't very well pace around his flat all day, and he'd worked yesterday at the centre on washing floors and walls with just a short break to drop by the Quidditch fest, so he knew it wasn't good to go in and work more just because he was in an odd mood.
So, he pulled on a pair of denims and his boots then grabbed a shirt before he left the flat. He was worried about Hannah, as he hadn't seen her in far too long, and he needed to stop by to see Megan, and he hadn't been out to see Susan in far too long, and he wanted to go out for that pizza with Ernie sometime and stop by to see Dennis, so there were things he needed to do in the upcoming weeks. He just needed to focus and deal with the family situation better than he had been, he supposed.
He reached the lobby and noticed Morag leaving her flat. "Good afternoon, Miss Morag," he said, smiling in greeting.
