Neville glanced critically at himself in the mirror, smoothed one hand over his jaw to ensure his shaving charm had done the trick, and straightened.
It was time for him to go meet Ginny for their picnic and his stomach had been tight with tension all day. He glanced again and saw the same thing he'd seen the other fifty-seven times: nice blue collared shirt with short sleeves, tan trousers, and a brown belt. His shoes were his regular boots, which he hadn't ever considered replacing until this morning when he looked at them with dismay.
He took a deep breath and let it out, turning resolutely from the mirror to run lightly down the stairs. He nibbled on his lip as he debated whether or not to bring the small clutch of flowers he'd gathered from the greenhouse today, then decided it would be a waste not to bring them. And he did hate to waste flowers.
Besides, Ginny would appreciate them.
Stepping out his door, he Apparated to the hospital and walked in, running one hand nervously down the side of his trousers as he did so. He looked all around, hoping to quickly spot Ginny's vibrant red hair.
