Characters: Zacharias Smith, Wayne Hopkins
Location: Community Centre
Status: Private
Summary: After finishing up work for the day, Zach finally gets to talk to Wayne.
Completion: Complete

Work today would have been hard enough. Zach was still drained from getting completely plastered on Saturday night, but he refused to let that get in the way of his work. He'd worked his arse off. It meant a lot to him that Davies had given him this chance and he didn't want to let him down.

He wouldn't let him down.

But seeing Wayne come in and out of the centre was... distracting, to say the least. Every time he came by he'd smile that smile and Zach would have to try not to blush remembering what Wayne's hands had felt like on his body.

God, he was pathetic.

And he wanted to talk to him, he wanted to joke with him, and be at ease with him. But he didn't really know how to act when other people were around.

So instead he tried to focus on his work, while catching glimpses of Wayne whenever he could. Wayne had strayed a bit too close once and he'd nearly forgotten what it was he was doing. But Wayne apparently had a meeting, so he'd been gone for a while and Zach had thrown himself into the project.

It was the close of day and he'd cleaned up and was preparing to go home for the day. If he could only remember where he'd tossed his shirt...

He was still rummaging around the area he'd been working in when he heard footsteps behind him and assumed it was one of the crew. "I'm almost done," he said, not looking back. "Don't worry about waiting on me."
