RP: Saturday in the Park

A walk in the park. He had taken her on a simple walk in the park. At the end of the walk they unpacked the take away lunch they had purchased at the coffee shop and had a picnic under the trees in a park in Exeter. She handed him half of one of the sandwiches he had ordered, wondering what on earth he could find appetizing about cheddar and pickle on malted brown bread. Of course, she knew he wondered about her own choice of falafel and houmous on flatbread. They did agree on one thing and that was to order a ham and cheese croissant that he would share with Napoleon. Napoleon was pleased with that choice.
For dessert he ate a classic blueberry muffin and she nibbled on a cranberry and raspberry muffin while Napoleon settled down with a gourmet dog biscuit intended for a dog twice his size. They both sipped from their caffè lattes, for she had finally found a suitor who craved and appreciated coffee almost as much as she did and Little Napoleon lapped water from his collapsible dog dish. The dog actually belched upon finishing his drink.
“You have coffee breath,” Fleur said before she leaned down to kiss Oliver once more as he was lying on his back with her lap as his pillow, “But I like your coffee breath.”
