Marcus hoped that he hadn't kept Adrian waiting. He was looking forward to seeing his friend again.

When he got to the Five Alarm, he saw Adrian sitting alone at a table in the back.

"Hey, mate," he said, walking up to the table and pulling out a chair.

"Have you ordered yet?"

"Now, skulking in your corners doesn't help dispel your reputation as brooding Slytherins at all," Alicia said as she approached Adrian's corner table. She still felt a bit ill from her hangover but she knew it didn't show at all, something she was terribly thankful for. "Are you waiting for anyone else?" she asked, looking at the empty chair.

A small smile tugged at her lips as she watched Adrian, tempted to sit down and chat but knowing she was working. "Sorry about the reply, by the way. I was still a little drunk this morning and I'm pretty sure I made absolutely no sense."

Seeing Marcus sit down Adrian smiled, "No, not yet, I've only just arrived myself. Now, is it your imaginary friend I needed the third seat for or have you been stood up all ready?" He laughed lightly and feigned a scowl in Marcus' direction until he heard Alicia come up to the table, at which moment his levity dropped and he felt his stomach do the same.

He wanted to speak this time, but didn't know what to say and just as he thought his face must be purple without oxygen because he'd forgotten how to breathe, she mentioned his letter of that morning. He swallowed and apologized, "I hope it wasn't too forward, my writing, but I did want to apologize. Sometimes I think I should take my cue from Flint here more often and just not use so much talk - so many words, I meant, so many words." And he laughed nervously and wanted to melt into his seat. What was it about this chit that got him so tongue tied?

"Hey," Marcus said to Adrian, while taking a seat. "It's not like that. I invited Hestia Jones to join us."

Marcus, amused at Adrian's poking at him and wanting to let Adrian look good in front of the Gryffindor, laughed out loud.

"Nervous, Pucey?"

Adrian brought his hands to his chest in mock indignation and mouthed toward Hestia, "Not my fault, I swear." And then looked back toward Marcus, dramatically craning his body around in his seat, "I did no such thing. Well, the losing at least, you certainly can't blame me. I was only a chaser, you're the Captain who made Malfoy our seeker! It's true I may have been a bit preoccupied, but absolutely not to blame." He put the back of his right hand to his forehead in false hurt and then smiled cheekily at them both.

"Who's up for a round of drinks then, shall I go to the bar?"

Alicia had been about to ask Rosmerta if she could finish early when the barstaff for the next shift arrived, making Alicia a very happy girl. Snagging a bottle of whiskey and telling them to charge it to their table, she picked up four glasses and made her way back to the table.

Catching the tail end of Adrian's question, she shook her head. "No need to. And yes," she said before any of them could ask. "I can join you for dinner if you want?" she asked, not waiting for an answer before pulling up a chair.

"So, what were you talking about in my absence?" she asked, opening the bottle and pouring the alcohol into the glasses. If they wanted to drink, they'd have to have Alicia Spinnet-sized measures which happened to be extremely generous.

Adrian grinned brightly when Alicia came back to the table and answered his question with a bottle of whiskey. If he had ever had any sort of cool demeanor or Slytherin appearance to her, he was pretty sure it was shot all to hell now but he didn't really want to wipe the grin from his face either.

He watched her poor the four glasses and looked to Marcus for some sort of help, "Well then, this isn't going to be a shooters sort of evening, is it? Bottoms up?" He took a glass and held it up in the center of the table in a toast. He looked to Alicia with a smile still on his face, though this one was a bit more subtle, "to new beginnings?"

Marcus took a glass and clinked it with Adrian's. "New beginnings, and old friends," he said, looking at Hestia.

Marcus had been taking a drink of his whiskey when Adrian got a face full of the waitress's tits. He tried, valiantly, not to spit on his choking laughter at the look of complete shock and embarassment on his best mate's face.

Unfortunately, he failed.

Fortunately, he managed not to spray the rest of the table.

Coughing, he said, "Yes, the pasta will be fine."

Watching everything, Hestia couldn't help but laugh at Adrian. Men, she thought, do they ever grow up?

"Pasta for me as well." She looked at the waitress wondering if she was even paying attention.

Romilda couldn't believe the guy had accidentally turned just as she leaned over him. She felt his nose nestle into her cleavage, and she let out a little giggle.

She heard him mumble and she could tell he was most likely blushing. So it wasn't a genuine grope then - thankfully.

She barely heard the others ordering pasta as well, as she reassured the guy. "No harm done," she said with somethink akin to a giggle and a warm hand on his shoulder to balance herself. "Bound to happen sooner or later," she offered, patting him on the shoulder again.

No doubt his friends would give him the ribbing of a lifetime about that. "I'll be back with that whiskey and four pastas," she offered, smirking and shaking her head as she headed back to the bar.

Alicia wondered if she could get Romilda fired for that as the waitress walked away, followed shortly by the question of 'Could she fire a Furnunculus at Romilda without anybody seeing?' Turning and judging the distance, she decided she couldn't. Bugger.

"Another of your moves?" she asked Adrian, trying to keep it light and managing for the most part.

Swallowing her whiskey in one large gulp, she reached for the bottle to top-up the glasses as they all seemed pretty empty.
