The rain had finally stopped and Zach had ventured out, needing to go to the market but wanting to reacquaint himself with his surroundings first. He ventured across the river, down Alpha Street, walking slowly and taking in the sights.
The outside of the bookshop was quaint and tidy, the fresh coat of white paint making it stand out against the backdrop. The display windows were filled with leather bound books, positioned in neatly arranged stacks.
Zach stood for a moment, just looking in through the window at the shelves filled to bursting and the newly polished floors. It looked like a shop his mother used to take him as a child and he smiled slightly as he moved to open the door.
The soft sound of a chime echoed through the shop and Zach let the door close quietly behind him as he stepped further inside.
