Location: Streets of SHH, close to Draco's shop on River Rd.
Status: Semi-Private
Summary: After completing some (minor) work on his shop, Draco comes across an old acquaintance.
Completion: Incomplete

It certainly hadn't been the sort of painting Draco generally enjoyed.

No, what this had been was boring, somewhat tiring, and  a lot more tedious than he'd have thought, when one factored in the trim work.

He laid his brush into his painting pan and stepped back, paint-flecked hands at his sides as he surveyed the newly-painted walls of his shop. Perhaps it also had been at least a little satisfying, now that he was finished. The pale mint green he'd chosen actually looked quite good with the dark wood of the floors and trim, and the exposed metal air ducts overhead.

Craning his neck, he peered through the door to Eloise's shop; fortunately she appeared to be busy. It had been bad enough that she'd been here the whole time he'd been painting the walls, as it wasn't something he much liked to advertise. But at least her customers hadn't been curious enough to peek through the door yet. He bent to pick up his things, irritated when he noticed the paint on his hands and forearms.

Now that this was finished, there wasn't much to do with the shop before it would be ready, apart from a bit of cleaning and polishing the counters while he waited for the sink and oven to be put in behind the counter. It was a good thing this place had been in relatively decent shape, though, otherwise he'd have a lot more work to do and money to spend. He was still waiting for his coffee machine, but at least it had been ordered. That had been a splurge, but he wanted the best machine he could afford, and that had been it. There was still the matter of learning to use it, but Draco didn't anticipate any problems.

He arched his back where he stood, deciding he could leave his supplies here for now, and get something to eat. Looking down at his clothes, he wrinkled his nose a bit. He couldn't remember the last time he'd worn denims out of his flat. They were quite comfortable, of course; he just wasn't accustomed to wearing them when he wasn't in his flat drawing or painting. However, had he not, there would have been paint all over his trousers. And there wasn't anything to do about it now, so fuck it.  He applied a charm to remove the mint-green flecks from his denims and forearms and pushed out of the shop, turning onto River Road towards the Market.
