RP: A Lot on her Mind

Summary: After stewing all day, Hermione needs to talk to Roger.

Roger walked into his kitchen, sliding the porch door closed and crossing immediately to the counter for a glass. He filled it with water and chugged until it was completely empty. It had been a long and busy afternoon. He'd discovered job interviews weren't nearly as easy when you didn't know the person you were interviewing. But at least in the case of the blokes he'd chatted with today, he knew their work, and had been pleased enough with it that he really only needed to assess their attitudes and decide whether they'd be a good fit at his place on a more permanent basis.
Once he'd finished that, it had been nonstop work on the furniture orders he had scheduled for completion soon. He'd been ahead of schedule, but he didn't like waiting until the last minute to complete anything, not when his schedule was as full as it was. He never knew what would come up.
He leaned back against the counter. He'd grab a shower and change, then maybe go up and see what Hermione was up to this evening, even if they'd be seeing each other tomorrow. Now that the power was back, though it did seem slightly different, he'd hooked up the television he'd had at his flat. Maybe she'd like to watch a film.
Or something.
He smiled slightly, taking his time on his second glass of water as he walked into the sitting room, kicking off his work boots on the way.
