RP: Nightmares and Dreamscapes

Nov 14, 2006 21:00

Date: November 14, 2004
Character(s):  Ted and Andromeda Tonks
Location: 111 Albus Ave.
Status: Private
Summary: Ted wakes with a nightmare and Andromeda does her best to comfort him.  (Tonks, don't read this if you don't want to see your parents "doing it."  We know how traumatizing that can be for children to figuratively walk in on their parents.)
Completion: Complete

Andromeda was having a very odd dream involving dancing octopus skeletons (which a part of her brain wondered how an invertebrate could get a skeleton in the first place, but it didn't question the dancing) performing in front of a crowd of haberdashers.

One of the haberdashers stood in the middle of the performance and before she could rush over to offer the man a bag of peanuts, he cried out in distress.  Jerked from the dream she was happy to leave behind, Andromeda woke with a start looking around in confusion.  Had someone gotten hurt?  She looked over her shoulder at Ted who was sleeping spooned behind her and realized he had been the source of the distress.  His forehead was furrowed in pain, his lips thin and white.  The arm around her waist was like a band of iron making it difficult to turn toward him.

After some careful manuvering, she leaned up and kissed his forehead hoping to ease the furrow there.  "Ted," she murmured, kissing down his nose to his lips, her free hand rubbing up and down his tense arm and back.  "Wake up love."  She reached up and caressed his face.  "Wake up, Teddy."
