"Merlin, I can hear her now. Ginevra Molly Weasley!" Ginny laughed, holding the smile even when Ron talked about missing their dad. "He was proud of you, Ron. Real proud." She blinked away the hot sting in her eyes. "Me too."

She wanted to point out that things weren't always what they seemed, that people were just as capable of misjudging as they were of being misjudged, that the Ministry had blissfully attacked Harry through most of their childhood and they'd lived in a world filled with vicious rumors about anyone who didn't comply with the 'norm'. One look at the life Professor Lupin had been forced to lead was the quickest way to open someone's eyes but Ginny loved Ron every bit as fiercely as any of her other brothers and in some ways, much more. There was just too much ground for them to recover before they could even hope to understand these abstracts of their new world.

Watching him get up, Ginny smiled up at him in gentle confusion but quickly stood and returned his embrace, snugging her chin against his shoulder like she had when they were little. "Missed you too, Ron. Don't feel bad, love. I knew you'd come around when you were ready like you always did. I'm just happy to have my brother back."

"Yeah, I can hear her too! 'Course with me it was always Ronald Bilius Weasley," he said with a soft laugh. Ginny's next comment made him more serious. "He was? You were? Thanks." He found his eyes getting wet and he rubbed away a tear with his little finger. When he got up and hugged Ginny, she hugged him back hard, tucking her head under his chin.

"And I'm happy to have my sister back," he said honestly, ruffling her hair.

His gaze drifting around the kitchen, he noticed the time on the wall clock. "Bugger, I should get back to work." He grabbed the last bit of his sandwich and shoved it in his mouth, chewing quickly. "Gotta run, sis," he said when he was done. "Don't be a stranger. Stop by the house any time. We've got a billiards table, and I need someone to play against. I tried playing Lavender once, but we didn't get very far into the game." He smirked, his ears going pink. "She was too distracting. I'll see you soon, I promise."

Finding his way out to the living room, he stepped into the fireplace and Floo'd back to his own home.

"No worries, Ron." Ginny laughed as he stuffed the sandwich in his mouth. Ron was never one to waste food and his automatic action left her smirking. "I'll stop by, I promise. Have a good day at work."

Ginny waved as he stepped into the Floo and was gone in a puff of Floo powder.
