First, regarding your inquiry. The book is nearing completion. Most of Mr. Diggory's suggestions involved more recent research that I might wish to consult, and as I would rather not publish a book that is out of date before it reaches the bookshelves, I've been completing research. I'm not certain it will alter much in the way of the text -- as this is a fairly basic book -- but it will allow me to update 'Further Reading' and Bibliography. I fear the war made keeping up on recent articles and monographs a bit ... difficult. I hesitate to give you an exact date for finishing, but I dare say I'll be done some time in June. I need to get this book off my desk before it's time to prepare for the new school year.
Second, tea sounds most lovely. Since you work most of the week, would a Sunday be easier? At present, my own schedule is rather open. I tutor in the mornings, but have been leaving the afternoons free for meetings, as well as work on the book. I've a bit of a full schedule over this next week, but why don't you suggest a day or two that's easy for you and we'll go from there. I dare say at present, your schedule is more full than mine.
There's no hurry with the book, of course. I'd just had a note from our last discussion and thought I'd make sure that things were still going smoothly.
My Sundays are occupied each week, so a weekday afternoon would definitely be best. My upcoming week is quite full but perhaps we could arrange something near the end of next week. Thursday, the seventeenth, or Friday, the eighteenth, would be fine around two in the afternoon. If next week isn't suitable, I could schedule tea the same days the following week.
