Tonks's life had been... extremely dull. As much as she wanted some bit of excitement, there was none to be had. Not that this was a bad thing, but Tonks really missed having things happen in her life. She didn't miss getting a fire call at three in the morning, requiring her assistance.

There... there was a difference.

Which was why the owl was so unexpected and so welcomed.

Tonks ripped the envelope open and let out a shout or seven to hear that her father was home. She danced around her flat, looking quite the idiot and managed to trip over the low coffee table. She went sprawling, an ugly looking bruise already forming on her shin. Her thud was accompanied by several more from the flat below. Tonks winced and rubbed her knee. She just couldn't win.

Gingerly rising to her feet, Tonks found her way to her desk and quickly penned a note.

Mum,
I cannot believe Daddy has finally come home! I'm sorry I haven't been by sooner... I just didn't know what to do with myself and if I should come home yet.

However, I'll be home within the next few days. There's no need for me to stay in London. I hope you don't mind my grabbing my room for a slightly more permanent use -- not just a visit.

Love,
Tonks

Andromeda eyed Juneau warily who was watching an owl twice the size of him who in turn was watching Andromeda. "Juneau, he can eat you for lunch, I hope you realize that," she said stepping to the kitchen window and leaning over the sink to untie the parchment.

She read the note quickly then shrieked in delight startling Juneau into misjudging his leap and landing with a dull thunk in the sink. "Mrow!" he growled testily, looking up at Andromeda with a pissy look.

Or he would have had she been in the room. Andromeda had raced back to her desk for a new piece of parchment and quill.

Nymphadora,

I will have your room ready and waiting for you. The wards are set to allow you to Apparate in. I'm working days now, but should you decide to come in the afternoon your father will be home.

I can't wait to see you, dear.

Love,
Mum

She returned and tied the note to the owl who flew off immediately. "That'll teach you not to go after the owls then huh?" Andy grinned picking the kitten up and bestowing an apologetic kiss on his head.

"Ted!" Andromeda called out holding the post and the kitten and rushing upstairs. "Nymphadora's coming home!"
