Remus' inquiry yesterday into the Music Club made him realize how far behind he was on contacting everyone and finding a space to meet. He had originally thought to wait until the electricity had been restored. First because of all the chaos in the wake of power outage, and second because he thought that having the club listen to CDs and comment on the music might be a good way to get started. Obviously he needed a new plan.
Thinking things through, he thought that inquiring if the Ministry would allow a club to make use of their town meeting space might work, but that space was really too large for their current needs. Perhaps Hermione might allow him to use The Loft for one or two meetings until the group worked out how many people wanted to play, and which instruments, and how many wanted to simply listen. That would give him a good idea of what type of space and instruments might be needed.
He suspected there may well be a number of people who could play, but had lost their instruments during the course of the war, judging by the number of people he encountered who were still doing without wands. He wondered if there might be a way to obtain some second hand instruments at a decent price. He had learned from someone he was talking to about a Junior Quidditch League that there was a orphanage in town. Perhaps he could convince some of the Music Club members to offer lessons to the children.
