Dear Roger,
The historical renovation team tells me that the archway from the nave to the study will be completed Monday. They recommend at least a week for the mortar to set properly before the doors are attached. However you can take your final measurements any time after their work is completed.
I have enclosed the second half of the payment for the mahogany cabinetry work that was completed Friday morning. The workmanship is superb. I am especially pleased with how well it matches my desk. The first half of the payment for the door phase is also enclosed. It has been excellent working with you thus far.

I find myself quite at a loss over whether or not we had plans for the upcoming week. I believe I was rather distracted when I scribbled down a note about Gianni Schicchi but neglected to include a day or time. There is no excuse I can offer for my forgetfulness, darling, but I hope you'll take pity on me and fill in the gaps in my memory. If you will, I promise to be more responsible in my note taking in the future.
