On one of her meandering walks up Epsilon Street, Arabella spotted the flyer posted by a Dennis Creevey, who was offering to do odd jobs. She decided it wouldn't hurt to have some help with the gardening and the marketing. Cai was available only on certain days (by arrangement with Caradoc, which Arabella didn't want to upset) and the house elf was more than a little bossy. Sometimes Arabella wanted things done her own way, not the way Cai insisted. Perhaps this Mr. Creevey knew spells to keep her rear lawn mowed, not to mention he could help her retrieve groceries from the market if she needed something when Cai wasn't around -- and, quite honestly, Cai tended to be a bit much as a shopping companion. So Arabella wrote a note and sent it off with her owl, Royal.

Dear Mr Creevy,

I saw your flyer on Epsilon Street. I could use help occasionally with tasks such as gardening, lawn care and obtaining groceries as I am elderly and have no magic myself. Money is not a problem for me but I can pay you in food or some other currency if you prefer.

Please let me know at your convenience if this sort of work might interest you.

Sincerely,

Arabella D. Figg

Dennis had been, well not moping, but beating himself up? He had really come to regret not being more socialble on his own at school, instead of tagging after Colin. It would be nice to have friends of his own. Consoling himself that he'd make some eventually, he'd also gone out and scavened some more.

Maybe he was really picky but he couldn't find a bed he liked. He just might have to send an owl Roger Davies. As if summoned by his thought, he heard an owl tapping at his window.

Unfastening the window, and giving the owl a treat as he untied the letter, he smiled as he read it.

Dear Mrs. Figg:

I would really be interested in that sort of thing. And I understand about doing without magic. I am, I guess, a wizard, but am Muggle born, and have been living in the non-magical world since the war began.

I should let you know that I don't have a whole lot of practice at gardening, but I am learning. But I used to stock my neighbor's pantries and such, as well as helping with other things.

Just let me know when you need someone or when you would like to meet. Though I am afraid I am booked this coming Saturday.

Sincerely,

Dennis Creevey.
