Dennis was fairly tired again. Liam had pretty much worn him out yesterday chasing Gnomes, among other things. And this morning, he had slipped out, leaving a note for Colin and Romilda, and found a quiet spot by the river to do Yoga. Afterwards, he rode his bike outside of town away, enjoying the solitude. Even when he'd lived in a flat before, it had been a shared bed-sitter, and not really his own. It was time to find space, a space that he could make his home, or one of them, as wherever Colin and his family, extended or otherwise, were that would be home as well.
He also made a stop at Hillside during the day, when he guessed most of the other tenants would be out, and he did see notices of two vacant flats, which gave him options, always a good thing. But, even with two empty flats the building seemed crowded, if he had his way, he'd have a space with no one above or below him and no risk of anyone stomping on his ceiling. So, he headed for Hammerside.
He wasn't sure if he should just walk into the building or knock on the main door, or what, so he tentatively entered the building. He didn't see anyone around.
