Lavender was somewhat proud that she'd managed a short day at work. After coming down with the virus that had been bugging the hospital (so to speak), she'd been confined to bed, feeling wretched and, unfortunately, throwing up far more often than she'd like. This had exhausted her and so the rest of her time had usually been spent sleeping.

Ron's visits had been a couple of bright spots, though. She had shooed him away after his first visit, not even letting him into the flat. After, she'd felt so guilty about forcing him away when he'd done such a touching gesture of making her soup that, in her weakened and exhausted state, she'd actually cried for a little bit until she'd fallen asleep again. She'd let him into the flat the next time he had visited, though she was still a little concerned that he would catch it, even though she knew it was unlikely now.

His owl made her smile, and Lavender was quick to pen a reply.

Lavender,

It's good you could go into work today, at least for awhile. Best to stay off your feet right now till you're back to 100%. So a film is perfect, right? Okay, we'll see the first film then we can decide, once the second one starts, if we want to stick around for it.

I'm glad you can come for Easter dinner. I wasn't sure if you had plans with your parents. Hermione told me to invite you before I had a chance to ask if it was okay, so no worries there. Harry should be there too.

See you Friday night around six? Maybe we should have sandwiches or something to eat before we go to the film? I don't know anything about cinemas, and there might not be any food.

Ron,

The film sounds perfect. I'll see you around six o'clock - some food before sounds good, too.

I didn't have any plans for Sunday. I think my parents are going up to Scotland to spend the day with my dad's parents and I think I'd rather avoid joining them! My grandparents are Muggles and I'm sure Mum will just end up rather stressed watching her cook and offer to use magic, which will just annoy Nan. I'd prefer to steer clear of any arguments!

See you soon,

Lavender. xxx
